Practical cropping answers
Drag for speed, type numbers for precision
Dragging on the preview selects an area visually. Entering X, Y, width, and height sets the exact pixels. Keyboard entry is clamped to the image bounds, so values outside the image are corrected automatically.
Cropping is not resizing
Cropping removes outer pixels and keeps the rest at the same scale. Resizing scales the whole image to exact dimensions. If you need a specific size such as 1280 by 720, crop first and then resize.
Rotate or flip before you crop
Rotation and flip change the coordinate system, so the editor clears the crop selection when you use them. Fix left, right, or mirrored orientation first, then drag or type the crop area.
